friends and cars.

Homemade translation of the classic store-bought classroom valentine, at its most economical. Beloved licensed character, check. Friendly but non-romantic, gender-neutral message, check. Treat, check. A preschooler needs not a thing more or less. Well done, Hector's mom. This is the essence of Valentine. Even more now that it's May.

(...And yet how this candy escaped detection for almost three months remains a mystery.)

Everett Peck at OMA

I have two promo booklets from Everett Peck that I've held on to since I was a Palomar College art student in the late 80s. It was amazing to see some of this work that I had been so familiar with for so long.
Pannikin.

From 1992, I still have this one saved somewhere too.

IT'S NOT MY FAULT: The Art of Everett Peck at the Oceanside Museum of Art. Only a few weeks left! Closes January 29, 2012.
